Tensou Gattai Series Part 3 review

Hello again, David Lee here for part 3 of my Tensou Gattai review. Today, we will start with the DX Datas Hyper. Similar to previous year's DX DaiGouYou from 2009's Shinkenger, this is 2010's AI Drone Robot that doesn't need a pilot. Datas is originally a card / arcade machine in the show that came to assist the Gosei Tenshi to save the earth.

This is how the box looks like. Datas Hyper is shown in the front of the box and not Datas. Do note that the DiceO cards included are shown as well.

This is how DX Datas Hyper is packaged. The sequence of the box's inside is as follow:

Right - Main Body of Datas and Datas Hyper

Left Top - Leg piece No.1

Left Middle - Hyper Change Headder

Left Bottom - Leg piece No.2

Until today I still cannot figure out which one is the left and which one is the right. LOL. Anyway, the arrangement is simple and there are not many things to go through for Datas Hyper.

This is the first DX toy under the Goseiger line to feature Gosei Cards that are double sided. In this case, it's even more than Double Sided as on the back of the cards, 2 types of eyes are printed on it and they can be switchable by jus inserting on a different side.

Basic Datas Eyes. This is his eyes in normal mode and used most often in the show.

Datas is actually molded after the Dice-O machines (similar to Ganbaride machines) in Japan and so this face is to show that it is ACTUALLY molded from that.

Datas is scared. This is how he looks like when he is scared.

This is Datas' angry eyes. In this face he will enlarge himself to mecha size to assist the Goseigers in battle.

Similar to the DX DaiGouYou from last year's Shinkenger, DX Datas Hyper also comes with sound effects that randomly plays when you turn the dial at the waist. Below is a video of the sounds that is played in Datas mode:

I never counted how many sounds he has in either modes but there are plenty.

These are the sounds when the Hyper Headder is attached to the top. The Hyper Headder attaches and presses a button to change the types of sounds / speeches Datas Hyper makes.

SUMMON! HYPER CHANGE HEADDER!

In the show, when the Goseiger inserts this card into the Tensouder, the Hyper Change Headder will appear and Datas will evolve to Datas Hyper.

This is the Hyper Change Headder. It has wheels at the bottom and has one interesting gimmick in Headder mode.

This is the above said gimmick, the Headder opens up and reveals a cannon. In the show, the cannon will blast the enemy so that the Goseigers have time to let Datas evolve to Datas Hyper.

DATAS HYPER! UPGRADE!
This is Datas Hyper after a few simple transformations.
Do note that he is taller because the legs at the back are now transferred to the front:

Legs are attached at the back in Datas mode.

Legs removeable and attached to Datas' legs at the bottom to bring him taller.

DUAL COMBINE!
When all the Headders, Gosei Great and Datas Hyper get together, they form the almighty Hyper Gosei Great.

HYPER GOSEI GREAT! KOURIN!

This is Hyper Gosei Great. I always are fond of ALL COMBINE TOGETHER but I don't think this fits my picture. I would agree to what other people say that this is a walking 'HUNTER'S MEDAL DISPLAY'. His finisher is called the Hyper Headder Strike and is also a Victory Charge card that has another different artwork (I am beginning to curse Bandai for all this).

On a side note, do you know where the face of Hyper Gosei Great came from?

This is the face piece and if you notice it is identical to the chest piece of Datas Hyper. YES, the chest piece can be detached for the Hyper Gosei Great combi.
